I would say that's on the cheap end. The mini mills are cheaper, but the working area is so small. Once you add your vice of your fixture, there is not much left. My mill has a 6"x18" area. G0755 CNC

I was going to buy a X3 mill to convert to cnc but then Grizzly had a new G0755. and I wanted to know if there is a kit to convert it to cnc and how much would it cost? It weighs a lot more then the x3 and has a bigger table but it has slightly less head travel. The table travel of 17" appears odd for a 31.5" table which AFAICT seems to be The parts I make aren't particularly large but I do look forward to greater rigidity. The new Grizzly mid level machine, at 3350lbs (including enclosure, tool changer, etc.) is $26k, that includes the 8 tool carousel.
